I've been in the beauty industry 12+ years and one of my true passions has been perfecting the art of Bettie Page-style bangs. When I was 15 years old I decided that I wanted a more retro/vintage look. I had always admired Bettie Page but was really worried that I wouldn't be able to pull off the look. I was always adventurous with my hair since I was 12 and first dyed it. I decided FUCK IT, how else will I know if it looks good if I don't try it!
I can't say it was my best work, but ever since that day I never looked back....
Since that first uneven cut myself, I wanted to figure out how to make them better, how to style them properly, and how to look really cool.
I would cut anyone's hair that would let me, but mostly I had myself as my number one model to practice on. In beauty school, I finally got to practice Bettie Bangs on other people. Giving someone a look that few other hair stylists can achieve makes me feel so damn good!
